My entry finaled in the San Antonio Romance Authors (SARA) 2010 Merritt Contest’s Mainstream with Romantic Elements category! Final decisions will be released in May! Wheee!

Some authors have glamour shots while others have serious expressions. I prefer fun photos and have decided to play around with a few ideas for the next couple of posts. Let me know what you think!

Hooray, it’s winter! From blistering sunshine to blizzard conditions, I’m all over the map for the next few weeks. No worries, my outline is along for the ride. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

There’s been an addition to my book video page. Another Door Opens follows the adventures of painter William Covel Lewis around the world.

Creating this book video was a lot of fun. Mr. Covel had so many dynamic paintings to choose from that narrowing my choices down to fit in a 50 second clip was difficult, but oh so worth it.

Thank you to all fans of my recent book video! I’ve gotten so much positive feedback after Emma Holly posted the video for Demon’s Fire onto her website. Thanks to Emma for giving it a place of honor at the very top of the page! I tell ya, working on these book videos never gets old. I’m about to start working with an author whose focus is all business, so it’ll be interesting to see how that turns out. I’ll keep you posted.

So now I’m gearing up for my next few projects. I’ve already posted in ad in the Romance Writers Reader magazine, and am getting ready to attend the conference. It’ll be my first and I want to make the most of it.

I’m also taking a break from Queen of Eights. It’s not as hard as I thought it would be. I guess every once in a while you just need a break from same characters running around in your head. On the other hand I’m thinking a lot about fan fiction for one of my favorite shows. I just found out there’s an entire community out there that I had no idea about. And the best part is, they are looking for submissions for FanVid!

Back to work.
